SPORT & FITNESS
The badminton group gets together for an hour of exercise and fun on the badminton court on Monday mornings in Dübendorf. The sports centre offers plenty of free parking, is close to bus, tram and rail stops (Stettbach) and has a crèche. And after all that exercise… we’re ready for our coffee. Whether you are a beginner or intermediate player, what better way is there to start the week and make friends? Come join us!

Come join us every Tuesday morning at 9.30 a.m. in all weather at the car entrance of the parking lot across from the Park im Grüene, Rüschlikon (far end of Migros Parkside). We then enjoy a 1½ hour energetic walk in the forest and farmland near Park im Grüene. Feel free to bring along your Nordic Walking poles (I will show you how to use them should you wish to) or simply come along and enjoy the surroundings and company. After the walk, we will have coffee in the park's restaurant. There is ample parking available (A3, exit Thalwil) or you may come by Bus 156 or 165.

We are a fun-loving group of members who enjoy the outdoors and good company, while getting in a bit of fitness. We hike in Zurich and surrounding areas every Friday. We usually take a morning train from central Zürich to our starting point. We then hike for about 3 to 4 hours in all, stopping for lunch (a picnic in summer, a restaurant in winter) on the way. A great way to make friends, get fit and see the beautiful countryside our local region has to offer.

Line Dancing Workout
Line dancing with a difference – that’s us! Our repertoire includes rumba, cha-cha, mambo, folk, as well as country and western line dancing… and much more. The music is guaranteed to make your feet itch for the dance floor; the choreography is good for your concentration and the melodies can raise your serotonin level. In other words, we move and have fun. At the end of the session, we do yoga-based stretching and relaxation with calm and meditative music.

Pop-Up Full Day Hikes
You know the feeling. The weather is just gorgeous and you are just itching to go for a hike. That's where ZIWA Pop-Up hikes come in. We love planning hikes at short notice, when the weather looks good, and that’s how we operate. Sign up to our mailing list and you will receive details of hikes a few days before the hike takes place. This way, we have a better idea of the weather conditions and only plan hikes when the weather looks good! We try to offer all-day hikes that take us to some of the most beautiful areas in Switzerland. Some will be easy and others will be more challenging. Give it a go!

Welcome to Qi Gong! I’m a trained therapist and teacher of Tai Chi and Qi Jong – what I like to describe as meditation in movement. With practice, you gain more energy in your body and your movements become softer and lighter. You learn to be more aware of your actions and thoughts. Your body becomes more interactive with your mind. You feel better and become relaxed and happy. Come along and try it out at my weekly Friday class in Wiedikon. The lessons are open to all who want to learn to move with awareness, connecting mind and body.

WalknTalk in Meilen
"I'd like to lose weight/feel fitter/get out in the fresh air/tone up/lift my spirits/make friends..."
How many times have you said or thought something like this and done nothing about it? Well now's your chance to make changes! We meet every Wednesday morning in Meilen wearing walking shoes and a smile! We walk up to and along the Panoramaweg and make a round trip back down to the station, taking in the scenery and chatting along the way. We don't rush, but we walk with purpose. Our walk takes about an hour and a half, split equally between uphill, downhill and on the level. Afterwards we have a coffee in a local cafe. The walk takes place whatever the weather. Bring poles if you like, and come alone or with your baby in a baby sling or your dog.
