| Walk n talk “I’d like to lose weight/feel fitter/get out in the fresh air/tone up/lift my spirits....” How many times have you said or thought something like this and done nothing about it? Well now’s your chance to make amends! Rita and Christine meet every Wednesday morning in Meilen wearing walking shoes and a smile! (Don’t worry, they also wear clothes!) They walk up to and along the Panoramaweg and make a round trip back down to the station, taking in the scenery and chatting along the way. They don’t rush, but they walk with purpose. Their walk takes about an hour and a half, split equally between uphill, downhill and on the level. Afterwards they have a coffee in a local cafe. They’re inviting you to join them on a regular basis. You don’t have to register; just turn up. The walk takes place in all weathers. Wear sensible walking shoes in summer and in winter perhaps your walking boots, bearing in mind that winter paths can be slippery. Bring sticks if you like, and come alone or with your dog or a baby in a baby sling. Have also a look at these pictures. | Where: in Meilen (Transport: S7, S6 trains to Meilen or you can park your car in the Migros car park nearby or behind the Gemeindehaus opposite the station) When: 09.30 every Wednesday (they leave just after the arrival of the S7 from Zurich) Contact: ziwawalkntalk@gmail.com |
