What to do in Zürich
Favourite restaurants, cafes and bars
What else to do in Zürich:
ZIWA chairladies know a thing or two when it comes to finding agreeable places to eat, drink or meet. Here are some of our favourites in and around the Zürich area.
Near the Hauptbahnhof:
City Bar, Schützengasse 4. Five minutes walk from the main station, this bar has become the regular meeting place of the ZIWA Business Women's group. And it's smoke-free. Prices reasonable for this part of town and they also serve snacks. Definitely worth a try. Recommended by Julia.

St. Gotthard Lobby Bar in the hotel close to the Hauptbahnhof, Bahnhofstrasse 87. Good meeting place, nice lunches, they also have a pianist in the late afternoons. Recommended by Christine F., Julia. www.hotelstgotthard.ch
Café au Troisieme, at Jelmoli in Bahnhofstrasse. A regular meeting place for ZIWA ladies with good service and a pleasant ambience. Recommended by Christine F.
Café Central, by Central tram stop, five minutes from the HB. New venue for one of ZIWA's coffee corners, it's also a great place for an early evening glass of wine, especially outside in summer. Recommended by Julia.
Brasserie Lipp in Uraniastrasse 9. A well-known name and a favourite venue for ZIWA meetings; also a good place for lunch. Recommended by Christine F.
Café Confiserie Sprüngli At Paradeplatz, the world-famous confiserie with its speciality Luxemburgerli also has a café. Nice to eat lunch outside there in summer. www.10best.com
