ZIWA Activities and Interest Groups

Some information for Newcomers

Interest Groups

Activities in ZIWA are known as "Interest Groups". There are up to 70 different Interest Groups to choose from, and you are very welcome to take part in any activity - Interest Group - that appeals to you. You just need to contact the relevant Chairlady as published in the ZIWA News. Joining an Interest Group is an effective way to meet other women, make friends and have a good time.

Please note: some activities may have a nominal charge, depending on the nature of the activity itself, the number of participants etc.

Newcomers' Coffees and Newcomers' Drinks

Once you have joined ZIWA, we like to welcome you and introduce you to our association.

You will be invited to 2 Newcomers' Coffees where you will meet other new members as well as current members who will be able to tell you about all the fun we have as ZIWA members.
Coffees are usually held in members' homes, taking place in the afternoon. As a group we are aware that sometimes this is not convenient (particularly for mothers and working members) and so coffees are sometimes held in the morning or in the early evening.

As well as the newcomers' coffees, we also invite new members to a Newcomers' Drinks, a welcoming evening with refreshments. This is usually held two or three times a year and takes place in a public building.
