ZIWA Activities and Interest Groups
Some information for the Newcomers
In ZIWA we call the activities "Interest Groups". There are up to 70 different Interest Groups to choose from, and you are very welcome to join in any activity - Interest Group - that appeals to you. You just need to contact the relevant Chairlady (contacts in the ZIWA News). Joining in an Interest Group is an effective way to meet with other women, make friends and have good time.
Please note: some activities may have a nominal charge, depending on the nature of the activity itself, the number of participants etc.
Once you have joined ZIWA, we like to welcome you and introduce you to our association.
You will be invited to join in 2 Newcomers' Coffees where you will meet other new members as well as old members who will be able to tell you about all the fun we have as ZIWA members.
Coffees are held in members' homes and usually take place in the afternoon. As a group we are aware that sometimes this is not convenient (particularly for mothers and working members) and so coffees are sometimes held in the morning as well as occasionally at 6pm.
As well as the newcomers' coffees, we also welcome new members with a Newcomers' Drinks Party, a welcoming evening with refreshments. This is usually held two or three times a year and takes place in a public building.
