ZIWA is Zürich's leading international Women's Association with around 700 members representing almost 70 different nationalities and with over 70 Interest groups. ZIWA is international, dynamic and fun.
Our mission is to bring together women of all ages and nationalities to help build friendships, celebrate different cultures and expand our viewpoints.
How do we achieve this?
Building friendships:
We welcome all members to join Interest Groups where friendships can be built upon common interests.
We particularly make a point of welcoming new members through Newcomers' Coffees, evening get-togethers and promotional events.
We encourage networking through Monthly Meetings and by putting people with shared interests in touch with each other.
We support each other through long-standing friendships and our Member Care and Helpline teams.
We promote communications via our monthly newsletter ZIWA News and our popular and user- friendly website, www.ziwa.com.
Celebrating cultures:
We take pride in the diversity of our membership.
We promote our broad range of nationalities and cultures in many ways such as Country Meetings.
We offer the opportunity to learn different languages and experience a variety of cultures through our Interest Groups.
Expanding viewpoints:
We accept different cultures and views whilst maintaining our individuality.
We promote discussions on various topics at our Monthly Meetings and Chairladies' Meetings and through our Interest Groups.
We nurture tolerance and open-mindedness through regular meetings and a wide range of communications.
We offer the opportunity to participate in activities such as our ReachOut program and individual charity events.
We organise workshops and training sessions to foster new skills and encourage confidence, public speaking and teamwork.
